THE SISTERS GOSPEL AND JAZZ
Gospel music was born from the slaves' hearts, an irresistible song that sang in their souls. It grew and was nourished by their faith in God, their joy, their
pain and their innate sense of music, harmony and rhythm. Gospel music continued into the churches. But it was too playful to stay ... it flowed out of the windows and flew
towards the sky ... where it journeyed on ... towards the cities ... There it chipped down and was played with contemporary musicians in alleys and clubs ... here it became
intoxicated with life and turned into jazz music! The sisters Gospel and Jazz are eternally united in a symbiosis of emotions and tones. They never forgot each other, but rarely
get the chance to meet.
Now the time has come! Malou & The Jazpels” finally lets us experience it.
